General
What is the minimum stay?
Both the shepherd’s hut and the lodge tent are booked for a minimum of two nights.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is between 3 pm and 6 pm. Arriving later? No problem: we’ll send you a message in advance telling you where to find the key, so you can let yourself into your hut or tent in the evening. Check-out is until 11 am.
When can I book?
The shepherd’s huts all year round, the lodge tents from April to October.
When do I pay?
You pay the full amount when you book.
Are bed linen and towels included?
No. You add bed linen and towels when you make your booking.
Can I smoke?
The shepherd’s hut and the lodge tent are smoke-free.
Do you serve breakfast?
No, we do not serve breakfast. There are supermarkets in the village of Mill, about one kilometre away.
Where can I park?
In the car park by the grounds.
What if I need to cancel?
Up to 8 weeks before arrival you pay 15% of the booking amount, between 8 and 4 weeks before arrival 50%, and after that 100%. Cancellation insurance is recommended. Read everything in the terms and conditions.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, pets are welcome in the shepherd’s hut and the lodge tent. Please always keep them on a lead everywhere on the grounds, partly because of the sheep and chickens.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi.
Can I camp with my own tent or caravan?
The nature campsite now only offers seasonal pitches, and these are all taken.
Is the café open?
The café and terrace have been closed since 1 July 2024.
The shepherd’s hut
How many people can sleep in the shepherd’s hut?
One to four people. There are two box beds of 140 × 200 cm.
What is the difference between De Rode Berk and De Witte Berk?
The comfort is the same, only the interior differs. De Rode Berk has warm red tones and an oriental rug on the floor. De Witte Berk has light wood, a soft sofa and a pointed window.
Does the shepherd’s hut have its own shower and toilet?
Yes. You have your own heated bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
Is it warm enough in winter?
Yes. The hut has a pellet stove and the bathroom is heated. That is why the shepherd’s huts can be booked all year round.
Can I cook at the shepherd’s hut?
The hut has a Nespresso machine and a kettle. Outside you can cook over the fire bowl. Don’t feel like cooking? Pizzeria Delfino in Mill is great for takeaway.
Is the shepherd’s hut good for children?
Yes. The sheep graze under the hut and behind the grounds there is a wood to play in. Coming with more than four people? Then take a look at the lodge tent.

The lodge tent
How many people does the lodge tent sleep?
There are lodge tents for four and for six people. You sleep in real beds, such as a double bed and a bunk bed.
Does the lodge tent have its own bathroom?
Yes. Inside the tent is your own bathroom with a shower and a clawfoot bath.
What is in the kitchen?
The kitchen is fully equipped, with an induction hob and a dishwasher, so you can really cook.

No. You add bed linen and towels when you make your booking.
Can I smoke?
The shepherd’s hut and the lodge tent are smoke-free.
When can I book the lodge tent?
From April to October, for at least two nights.
Is the lodge tent good for children?
Yes. Behind the grounds there is a wood to play in, there are fire pits, and the De Kuilen swimming lake is ten minutes away by bike.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, pets are welcome. Please keep them on a lead on the whole site, also because of the sheep and chickens.
